What are the stages of box production?


- Preparing tooling and materials Plates, cutting dies, paper and ink are prepared to the job specification.
- Offset printing 4 colours plus special (Pantone) colours, matched to the proof you approved.
- Coating Water-based or UV coating, in gloss or matte.
- Flute laminating For flute-laminated boxes, the printed sheet is laminated onto corrugated board.
- Die-cutting The sheet is cut and creased to the dieline.
- Gluing The box is folded and glued, ready for use.
How does the factory check quality?
After each production stage there is a quality control (QC) check before the job moves on, and quality assurance (QA) before delivery. The factory works under ISO 9001 and GHP, both certified by Bureau Veritas.
Materials the factory uses
Paper, ink, coating and adhesive have test reports from outside laboratories. The factory works with paper from 180 to 500 gsm, and can source paper from FSC-certified suppliers on request.
